Your Key Responsibilities
Supplier Quality Management:
1. Track and report relevant KPIs/PIs, including countermeasures
2. Initiate the escalation process, if appropriate
3. Collaboration with SQC on the Run@Rate within component introduction (CI) process
4. Management of assigned suppliers and components in the SERIAL phase of projects:
→ Conduct onsite supplier audits (Supplier Rapid Assessment and Process Audit VDA 6.3, PAS) and other assessments or visits, if appropriate
→ Manage Production transfer-planned relocation, within the current supplier, including re-sampling of products
→ Collaborate on Product modifications and/or Process change for purchased parts where the supplier requests permanent changes, including re-sampling of products
→ Ensure the resolution of supplier complaint using problem-solving methods (8D method: from D4 up to D8)
→ Collaborate on the complaints costs evidence (support at costs evidence and their communication to the supplier)
5. Collaborate on the Supplier evaluation and ensure the correctness of quality performance related data in the system.
Manage Supplier Incoming Control:
1. Track and report relevant KPIs/PIs, including countermeasures
2. Initiate the escalation process, if appropriate
3. Incoming inspection process of purchased parts
→ Ensure creating of inspection scheme/plan and update, if needed (for samples and/or serial production parts)
→ Conduct a formal check of received samples and documents for compliance with the order. In case of discrepancies, inform the supplier and SQS immediately.
→ Ensure the archiving of all documents relevant to sampling
→ Ensure visual and/or dimensional inspections of purchased parts in accordance with the relevant specifications
→ Inform the relevant SQS of the inspection results and provide relevant meaurement verification reports
→ Support SQS with the Special release process by providing measurements, qualified recommendations, and risk analysis.
→ Support and collaborate with SQS on re-sampling of products due to production transfers, product modifications, and process change
4. Coordination of supplier complaints (8D method: from D1 up to D3)
→ Ensure the immediate issuance and sending of the complaint to the supplier (SAP system, SupplyOn Problem Solver)
→ Initiate and support sorting measures by the supplier undertaken by sorting companies approved by Schaeffler, if required
→ Ensure proper complaints costs evidence (e.g. for sorting activities at our premises, inform suppliers in timely manner)
→ Ensure the sending of defective samples to suppliers
5. Manage Special release process for purchased parts with deviations from the drawing (including Self-notifications from supplier)
Your Qualifications
- English language (min. B2 level - Upper Intermediate)
- University degree (min. Bachelor’s in Engineering, Quality, or a related field), eventually a high school education and verifiable experience in the field
- Willingness to travel; active driver with a valid driver’s license
- 5 years of experience in quality control, supplier quality, or a similar role within manufacturing or engineering environments
- Knowledge of business relevant Quality Management Standards (e.g. ISO 9001, IATF 16949, AS 9100)
- Knowledge of quality core tools & methods (8D, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, Control plan, 5S, Lean production, Last piece inspection principle/Intermediate box inspection principle, Error proofing, Mistake proofing, Poka-yoke, Traceability,…)
- Auditing skills and practical experience (according to VDA 6.3, ISO 9001, IATF 16949)
- Self-confident and persuasive manner, assertiveness, analytical thinking, systematic approach, flexibility, excellent communication skills, ability to work in a team, and a sense of accountability
- Knowledge of the assigned technology (such as specific process requirements, process monitoring and measurement, special assessments (CQI) and audits (ESD), ISO, TS or IPC standards, ...)
