System Project Mgmt. Eng. for BU Gas Sensors, PTC JSEAP

Your Key Responsibilities

• Mission:
  • 1) Drive business acquisition activities to achieve the target order intake.
  • 2) Take the lead in managing and executing the project.
  • 3) Build and maintain customer and BU satisfaction and trust by acting as a valueadded interface between global teams and JOEMs/Tier 1.

• Scope of Responsibilities:
  • 1) Most phases of the product lifecycle, including advanced development, project 
    acquisition activities, application development for mass production and change 
    management after series production.
  • 2) A wide range of sensor products within the BU Gas Sensors (in addition to internal 
    combustion powertrain products, electric powertrains and vehicle acess as well).
  • 3) System related discussion with customer for engine and exhaust controls.

Your Qualifications

• Graduate Degree in Software Engineering, Natural Science, Computer Science
• 3 to 5 years
• -Project management skill (selected skills for local project management)
• Technical knowledge for automotive engine system, exhaust system and sensors.
  --> Product Training will be planned : 1) On-site training at R&D sites in RBG & TLS, as 
  well as at production plants overseas, 2) Class room training in Japan, 3) On the job 
  training
• Development process : JOEMs process/guideline (and IATF16949)
• Development process, Internal : Product Development Process, Management Handbook and Governance Framework.
  --> Awareness training will be planned.
• Design review tool : DRBFM, FMEA, FTA, etc.
• Lauguage : Native level in Japanese and business level in English
• Communication/negotiation skills with customer and internal stakefolders
• Ability to build network with counterparts in Schaeffler Group
• University graduate (engineering)
• PC skills (office applications)
• Able to travel both domestic, international

Tasks

• Project Management
  • Lead and execute the development project to series production safely, and the change management of series production products in line with planning
  • Drive projects by respecting and demonstrating teamwork and proactively acting for one another
• Application Engineering
  • Support of application development in JOEMs in "advanced" and "series production" development
  • Understand customer requirements and BU products and define specifications/drawings through collaboration and negotiation with customers and BU global team overseas
  • Execute technical meetings and design reviews, and complete projects in line with planningSupport for customer test campaigns , such as sample delivery, parts/ data analysis, on site testing.
  • Support for quality team by problem solving from engineering point of view
  • Keep enhancing competency and provide support to the team by sharing the knowledge, methodologies and best practice
• New Business Acquisition
  • Support business acquisition through requirements clarification & technical presentation
  • Acquire info and report, such as customer voice/expectations, competitors’ info, customer/market tech trends, etc.
  • Clearly define the conditions for increasing the probability of winning business and communicate them clearly to the BU.Report/CommunicationDrive projects communicate regularly with direct supervisor, and other global and local teams.
  • Drive projects having an interaction with other functions in the organizationEscalate in a timely and clear mannerTake proactive actions to execute projects and/or win businessPursue effective ways to gain customer and BU understanding
