Mission

This position serves as a key liaison between Japanese motorcycle manufacturers, Tier 1 suppliers, and global teams overseas. The role is responsible for leading new business acquisition activities, driving mass-production development projects, and managing engineering changes after launch within the two-wheeler business.

The successful candidate will be expected to understand both customer requirements and the company's products and technologies, while supporting a broad range of product lifecycle activities. These include technical specification alignment, design reviews, customer testing support, and technical responses to quality-related issues.

This is more than a project scheduling and tracking role. Acting as the bridge between customers and overseas engineering teams, the individual will lead technical discussions and negotiations to develop practical and mutually acceptable solutions. The position combines the responsibilities of both Project Management and Application Engineering, requiring strong technical, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the system development team. Approve subsystem technical solutions and drive system releases and deliveries.
  • Develop project plans and timelines to ensure timely delivery of system engineering projects.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements and objectives and gather requirements to align project goals.
  • Coordinate system releases and deliveries, including planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Implement quality assurance processes to maintain high standards in project deliverables.
  • Lead and coordinate the technical activities performed by the system development team (estimation, planning, task assignment, internal and external alignment, etc.).
  • Coordinate other disciplines if no Technical Project Manager is present.

Your Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience
  • Experience in the automotive industry
  • In-depth understanding of Japanese automotive OEMs and their business culture
  • Experience in control systems, software, or electrical/electronic systems related to powertrain components for two-wheelers or four-wheelers
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills with customers and internal stakeholders
  • Proven ability to collaborate with global stakeholders and build effective internal networks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic business applications
  • Availability for domestic and international business travel

Languages: Native-level Japanese and business-level English, with the ability to work effectively with global teams.

The position requires the fluent Japanese communication skill.
