Quality Engineer, BD ETS, Division PTC JSEAP

Your Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contact window for quality-related matters with customers
  (Customers are Japanese companies; Schaeffler production sites are located across global group factories).
• Coordinate and collaborate with internal departments, including Engineering, Sales, Logistics, and the Technical Center.
• Manage new product launch activities and process change operations (PPAP).
• Handle customer-returned quality issues, including receiving defect notifications, determining necessary containment actions, guiding analysis in collaboration with factories, implementing countermeasures, and preparing reports.
• Attend regular meetings with customers, participate in TEAMS meetings with Germany, and provide support for customers' overseas business trips (accompaniment, arrangements, etc.).
  Support and respond to quality audits.
• Coordinate emergency quality actions, such as sorting and repairing parts in the event of urgent quality incidents.
• Organize and maintain quality-related information (monthly reports, periodic reporting, etc.).
• Drive and support internal quality improvement activities.
• Execute special assignments as required (e.g., responses during emergencies).

Your Qualifications

• Experience in the automotive components industry.
• Strong sense of ownership and the determination and drive to execute assigned tasks through to the achievement of results.
• Experience in quality management, including understanding of general quality terminology and proficiency in quality tools.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Native-level proficiency in Japanese.
• English (business level): Able to communicate in English, or at minimum, has no resistance to using English (to be confirmed during the interview).

The following are preferred qualifications:

• Experience working with engine components or transmission components within the automotive parts industry.
• Strong ability in engineering and technical analysis.
• Prior experience in design engineering.
