Your Key Responsibilities
Position Summary
This role is designed to comprehensively manage electronic and mechanical engineering aspects of targeted automotive system products, acting as the primary technical interface for customers and ensuring close collaboration with global development teams. The position focuses on technical acquisition, design management, and project coordination, with a strong emphasis on promoting platform solutions to Japanese Original Equipment Manufacturers (JOEM) and driving successful execution from acquisition through series development.
Core Objectives
- Lead Technical Acquisition: Promote products and drive technical acquisition efforts for electronic components, including local engineering quotations and R&D effort estimation.
- Manage Electronic & Mechanical Design: Oversee design processes for electronic and mechanical components, ensuring effective partnerships with JOEM.
- Coordinate Global Communication: Align with global project teams and represent customer interests in electronic/mechanical development discussions.
- Promote Platform Solutions: Understand product portfolio and advocate platform-based solutions to JOEM.
Primary Responsibilities
- Deliver technical content for Electrical Engineering (EE) discipline and coordinate EE development teams.
- Participate in project planning, providing technical input to timelines and budgets.
- Approve technical EE subsystem solutions and ensure compliance with processes and quality standards.
- Coordinate technical meetings internally and externally, ensuring alignment on goals and deliverables.
- Manage supplier relationships for electronic components and participate in system integration testing.
- Interpret customer requirements, translate them into specifications, and confirm solutions with global teams.
- Resolve engineering challenges through negotiation, platform reuse, and technical expertise.
- Monitor team dynamics to maintain motivation and work-life balance as a single-discipline technical project manager.

- Develop product strategies tailored to JOEM needs.
- Facilitate strategic engineering discussions to drive innovation.
- Enhance development processes for advanced design and testing.
- Mentor and coach engineering teams to strengthen expertise in electronics and mechanics.
Additional Duties
- Apply engineering knowledge to support R&D activities.
- Contribute to E/E requirements development and standard technical solutions.
- Coordinate collaboration with internal/external partners for E/E components, production aspects, and validation.
- Perform tasks assigned by the superior related to the position’s responsibilities.
Your Qualifications

Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of work experience in powertrain electrification, product or system development at a JOEM or Tier-1 supplier.
- Proven track record of working in global project teams with complex, multi-country and multicultural setups.

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Systems Engineering.

Technical & Industry Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of automotive technologies and high motivation to continuously learn.
- Practical knowledge of automotive industry standards and JOEM development processes.
- Familiarity with A-SPICE development methodology and ability to apply it effectively.
- Proficiency in using development tools and structured problem-solving techniques.
