Your Key Responsibilities

  • Part evaluation and report for battery systems post testing.
    • Weld resistance testing.
    • Torque measurements.
    • Organization and storage of battery packs and modules.
  • Execute test procedures required to develop competitive hardware, software, electronics, and systems.
  • Apply test procedures and test protocols to ensure validity of tests.
  • Cooperate with accountable Engineer in designing or setting up the most appropriate test procedure, if required.
  • Set up test rigs and instruments to perform tests.
  • Carry out testing activities, and document and assess testing results, in cooperation with accountable project leader.
  • Maintain test equipment and ensure its operational availability and functionality.

 

IMPORTANT:  Close to the end of the year this job will transition from supporting with test part analysis and testing to working in the battery production rework area.  This will require the same skillset but in a production environment instead of a development environment.

Your Qualifications

  • Associate degree or Journeyman Certification.
  • Minimum one (1) year of applicable experience.
  • Previous electrical experience required.
  • Candidate must be willing to be trained in Schaeffler High Voltage work.
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude.
  • Knowledge of basic engineering fundamentals.
  • Ability to read test tooling and test part prints.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical & hydraulic systems.
  • Excellent communication ability (written & verbal).
  • External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment VISA or other sponsorship.
