Your Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure assessment and initial approval of suppliers, with reference on quality and technology (on global and regional level) and guide local Supplier Quality Engineer respectively, with the aim of avoiding production disruptions.
  • Develop and/or implement qualitative and technology-specific supplier strategy in cooperation with dedicated Category Management Professional.
  • Plan, implement, and follow up on initial assessments for evaluation and approval of potential suppliers.
  • Plan, execute, and follow up on monitoring assessments, prepare quality indicators, and initiate and prosecute measures, which may include implementation of supplier development programs.
  • Execute task force missions for escalated problems with suppliers, i.e., improving quality planning process, negotiating of quality-relevant supplier documents, on global or regional level.
  • Select, approve, integrate, manage, and develop suppliers that will provide purchased components for our eMobility operations.
  • Develop supplier quality systems and processes by conducting reviews both at Schaeffler and at the supplier when needed.
  • Ensure Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) / Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) processes are followed during product realization, develop and maintain supplier product control plans, manage the supplier corrective actions activities, and provide feedback and ensure compliance to industry standards.

Your Qualifications

Required

    <li _ngcontent-ost-c49="">Bachelor's degree in an engineering related field and 1 year of experience.
  • Automotive manufacturing experience.
  • Experience with APQP and PPAP processes and implementation.
  • IATF 16949, ISO, and AIAG Quality System knowledge and experience.
  • Excellent Personal Computer (PC) skills.
  • Experienced in working with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 

Preferred

  • Experience with SAP.

Our Offering

  • Salary range: $75,000 - $120,000
  • Hiring Bonus: $500 after 90 days, $1000 after 180 days
