Your Key Responsibilities

  • Executes incoming inspections for parts and/or raw material, according to given standards.
  • Examines and evaluates the production parts for Heat Treatment, Welding and Cleanliness quality to determine if physical and chemical properties (such as weld properties, hardness, microstructure, and cleanliness) meet quality and manufacturing specifications.
  • Conducts production parts quality checks, plans the required tests, collects the samples, prepares and tests the samples, analyzes the data and reports the results in a timely manner.
  • Uses power tools to cut, mount, and polish parts and photograph samples, using a video camera on a stereoscope or metallographic microscope.

Your Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Material property testing and analyzing knowledge.
  • Experience with general power tools safety, usage and maintenance.
  • Experience with data entry.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with lab’s high precision equipment, such as microscopes.
  • Ability to solve problems and finish tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to improve existing procedures.
  • Continuous improvement approach and willingness to learn new technologies.
