Your Key Responsibilities
- Handle the design, simulation, and optimization of electric motors (eMotors).
- Evaluate and select electric machine architectures and topologies on thermal and electromagnetic characteristics.
- Design eMotors based on targeted cost and manufacturing processes.
- Apply electromagnetic physics principles to eMotor design.
- Model vibration characteristics of motors.
- Apply advanced knowledge of eMotor controls and measurements to simulate and correlate designs.
- Communicate results and recommendations verbally and in reports.
Your Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering related field and one (1) year of applicable experience.
- Ability to learn and apply mechanical, thermal, and electromagnetic principles to electric motor design.
- Applicable engineering & physics knowledge.
Preferred:
- Experience designing electric machines in an academic and/or professional setting.
- Experience using Python and MATLAB/Simulink.
- Experience with finite element analysis (FEA) modelling software such as Ansys Maxwell, Ansys MotorCAD, JMAG, or FLUX.
Our Offering
- Salary range: $75,000 - $120,000
- Hiring Bonus: $500 after 90 days, $1000 after 180 days
- Hybrid work schedule
