Your Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous optimization of manufacturing technologies for both new product introductions and existing product lines within Schaeffler Transmission Systems.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration to integrate statistical analysis and digital tools, enhancing product quality, process efficiency, sustainability, and robustness across manufacturing operations.
  • Perform detailed process assessments to adjust and fine-tune equipment setups, considering variables such as product specifications, materials, tooling, and site capabilities to ensure optimal manufacturing outcomes.
  • Evaluate and assess new technology launches against product design and material feasibility criteria, analyzing their impact on cycle times, tooling requirements, and overall product quality to support successful ramp-ups.
  • Provide hands-on production support by proactively identifying and resolving manufacturing issues with innovative, data-driven troubleshooting techniques to ensure sustainable solutions and minimum downtime.
  • Develop comprehensive manufacturing process documentation including equipment release certifications, detailed technology validation reports, and clear setup instructions to support standardized and replicable manufacturing practices.
  • Apply and uphold internationally and regionally recognized manufacturing technology standards, ensuring all processes align with regulatory and internal quality frameworks to maintain compliance.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to specify, negotiate, and validate equipment and tooling investments, ensuring alignment with project timelines, cost targets, and manufacturing quality requirements.
  • Maintain strong partnerships with Schaeffler Operations manufacturing technology networks, as well as other business units and corporate functions such as Purchasing, IT, Maintenance, and Quality, fostering an integrated approach to manufacturing excellence.
  • This role emphasizes a balance between practical application and strategic oversight of manufacturing technologies, demanding innovative problem-solving and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Your Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline is required, providing a solid foundation in engineering principles and manufacturing processes.
  • Prior experience ranging from entry-level to up to three years within the field of manufacturing or production engineering is preferred, highlighting familiarity with industry practices and exposure to manufacturing technology.
  • Applicants must hold valid authorization to work in the United States without the need for employment visa sponsorship, ensuring compliance with national employment regulations.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in applying statistical methods and digital tools for process analysis and optimization is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills coupled with effective communication and teamwork abilities are essential to succeed in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with international manufacturing standards, quality management systems, and equipment validation protocols will be advantageous.
