Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of manufacturing technologies to support the production of both new and established Schaeffler products, ensuring cutting-edge processes and high performance.
- Initiate, drive, and coordinate comprehensive projects aimed at optimizing manufacturing workflows by leveraging advanced statistical analysis techniques to enhance quality, efficiency, sustainability, and operational robustness.
- Conduct detailed process investigations and fine-tune equipment and process setups by taking into account variables such as product specifications, material characteristics, tooling requirements, and production location constraints.
- Review and assess new technology launches closely, evaluating product design and material feasibility, cycle time impact, tooling definitions, and potential quality improvements to seamlessly integrate innovations into production lines.
- Provide ongoing support to production teams by identifying root causes of manufacturing issues and implementing sustainable solutions through structured troubleshooting approaches grounded in production data and digital analytics.
- Develop comprehensive manufacturing process documentation, including but not limited to detailed equipment and technology release documents, process flow charts, and precise setup instructions to ensure consistency and repeatability.
- Adhere to and promote the use of standardized manufacturing process and equipment guidelines, compliant with internationally and regionally recognized technology-related norms and regulations.
- Engage in the definition and negotiation of equipment and tooling specifications with potential suppliers, balancing timing, investment costs, and validation requirements to secure optimal production assets that meet technical and economic criteria.
- Coordinate closely with cross-functional teams across Schaeffler Operations manufacturing technology networks, including divisions, business units, and regional manufacturing technology groups; collaborate effectively with departments such as Purchasing, IT, Maintenance, and Quality to foster integrated operational excellence.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a closely related field is required, supported by a solid foundation in manufacturing processes and industrial engineering principles.
- Demonstrated industry experience ranging from 5 to 10 years in manufacturing technology engineering, preferably within automotive or related high-precision production environments.
- Proven expertise in applying statistical process control and digital measurement tools for quality assurance and process optimization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a track record of executing root cause analysis and implementing effective corrective actions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams and coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders effectively.
- Proficiency in developing detailed manufacturing process documentation and experience implementing standardized manufacturing procedures in a regulated environment.
- Familiarity with manufacturing technology standards, norms, and compliance requirements on both international and regional levels.
- Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and adherence to timelines and budgetary constraints.
- A proactive mindset toward continuous learning and innovation in manufacturing technologies and tools.
