Your Key Responsibilities
- You will evaluate compliance performance and risk exposure, taking timely actions to mitigate potential issues.
- Managing customs forecasting processes and carrying out related documentation tasks with precision will be a part of your daily work.
- You will coordinate international logistics scheduling, tracking shipments, and facilitating border crossings with all required legal documentation while interfacing with brokerages.
- Additionally, you will perform detailed invoice audits for all international freight within assigned entities, work closely with the regional logistics team to manage regional logistics topics, and support the annual budgeting process by accurately forecasting internal international logistics freight requirements.
- You will oversee a wide range of customs activities for assigned areas, ensuring strict compliance with customs law and optimized customs positions.
- You will take responsibility for designated customs topics, providing expert support and ensuring adherence to agreed standards and processes.
- Analyzing business models and projects, you will advise management on customs-related matters to facilitate informed decision-making. Your role will involve conducting thorough investigations into customs issues and maintaining professional correspondence with governmental revenue agencies.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 2+ years' experience in customs compliance, international logistics, and freight auditing.
- Strong understanding of customs law, international trade regulations, and documentation processes.
- Strong proficiency in working with customs authorities and brokerage coordination.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills combined with a proactive, detail-oriented approach.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
