Your Key Responsibilities
- Support the applicable BU requirements to achieve the correct cost structure, launches on time and technical cost reduction initiatives.
- Project Management for Launching BU projects (pursuing and awarded) with Purchasing.
- Drive Category Purchasing for results in RFQ’s, Kickoff, and Followup for on-time delivery to meet necessary milestones.
- Participate and/or lead Technical Cost-Saving initiatives for the assigned/respective Projects.
- Support Budget process for department and third party costs.
- Drive for continuous improvement of processes with a goal of reducing total costs.
- Support in developing and implementing activities that are in alignment with Divisional and Corporate strategic Purchasing initiatives for the component area.
- New Supplier search and development to support the Business Unit Purchasing Projects
- Create, Manage, and Support PPA projects from Purchasing input in NA which will be handled by applicable NA Business Unit Purchasing team.
- Support for NA footprint strategy development and implementation.
Your Qualifications
- University BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering a Plus
- 3 to 5 years Purchasing or relevant Program/Project Management preferred
- Strong negotiation, Project Management and Problem Solving Skills
- Experienced in working with cross-functional teams
- Excellent PC skills
