Short Description

This role will be Technical Trainer for Shopfloor employees, continuously being involved in their skill building and enhancing productivity.

The major roles for this position will be related to planning, managing, directing and coordinating various technical training programs - OJT, DOJO etc. and related programs at plant level. 

Take responsibility of shopfloor technical / functional training programs and support overall design of vocational training programs.

To identify, plan and evaluate the business focussed technical trainings at plant to enhance employee performance, engagement, technical skill development, multi-skilling, and experts for operational excellence.

To develop connect with internal and external training experts and forums & ensure training plan adherance, effective training implementation and effectiveness & handle audits.

Provide trainings to new joiners at shopfloor on safety, quality, lean  manufacturing and Schaeffler products. 
provide refresher or advanced technical training to existing employees in SPC, PFMEA, VDA, 7 Quality Tools, Grinding or any technology upgradation topics / skills as required by business.

Co ordinate with internal departments to identify training needs of shopfloor employees, and plan and provide customized training for them.

Work in collaboration with HR for training calendar updation and records. Define skill-repository of site and maintain multi-skilling records of shopfloor employees. 
Drive Assessment/evaluation / feedback / re-training of shopfloor employees as required. 

Develop training aids like training booklets, videos and DOJO displays etc. as per management and customer expectations and keep it updated.

Responsible for internal audits and customer audits related to DOJO/Shopfloor skill repository.

Your Qualifications

Diploma /BE in any engineering discipline with minimum 10-12 years of experience.

Good communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills mandatory. 

Sound knowledge of production process, Six sigma, Lean Tools, 7 Quality tools.

Practical hands-on experience of MS Tools, SAP, working in a digital set-up, etc. 

Designing training methodology / approach.
Knowledge of local language will be an added advantage.
