Your Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts all activities of test process to experimentally confirm product lifetime and functionality.
  • Perform complex tests as a package of test processes, methods and tools to experimentally confirm product lifetime, functionality given by other technical R+D and QS positions (and cooperate with colleagues inside R+D team).
  • Responsibility for the technical level of the assigned test rigs and modernization.
  • Ensure quality of the provided test results (to meet customers requirements and specifications, standards, procedures and instructions).
  • Contribute to the product and measurement methods development.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of a suitable verification and validation strategy at the defined integration levels based on given standards.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of verification and validation activities in accordance with given standards (incl. testing of virtual or physical objects, static analyses, simulation).
  • Contribute to the exchange of development-related information and collaboration with internal/external development partners (e.g. system, E/E- or software development), or providers of equipment and tools (e.g. test rigs, test environment for MIL-, SIL-, PIL-, HIL-tests), or customers.
  • Apply given verification or validation processes (e.g. ISTQB Foundation Level).
  • Plan, estimate, schedule, and conduct all assigned work requests within time constraints. Maintain the SWIM Request system database with accurate dates and test rig resource utilization plan and track all work and rig hours appropriately
  • Work with Fixture Designer to create new or adapt existing machines and approve fixture designs
  • Responsible to initiate the purchase of required test supplies

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering related field and 7 years of experience
  • Advanced computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products
  • Ability to travel, including International (10%)
  • Very good knowledge of automobiles and subsystems
  • Ability to read, correct, and develop technical drawings & schematics
  • Knowledge of Design of Experiments (DOE) and statistical analysis methods
  • Must have valid authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship now or in the future
