Product Development Engineer - Linear Drive - Chassis

Your Key Responsibilities
- Conducts mechanical design engineering activities required to develop competitive products.
- Develop the structure of the mechanical system from the architecture and consider the measures from the risk analysis in the construction.
- Break down structures into subsystems and components and create a detailed product specification.
- Check whether existing subsystems and components can be reused.
- Perform/lead simulation efforts of the systems or components (such as Tolerance analysis, strength simulation, etc).
- Work closely with the CAD and FEA responsible persons within the group as well as engineers in other departments. This includes Development, Testing, Sales, Program Management and Production. The engineer will also at times interact with customers and engineers from other Schaeffler facilities.
Your Qualifications
Required
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical preferred, but other engineering degrees or equivalent technical experience will be considered.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in a similar position.
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment VISA or other sponsorship
Preferred
- Automotive knowledge or background specifically experience with Chassis Technology (Steering, Brake, Suspension).
