Your Key Responsibilities
- Conduct mechanical design engineering activities required to develop competitive products.
- Design 3D CAD models of parts and assemblies in collaboration with the product development team.
- Create engineering drawings according to Schaeffler and international standards.
- Perform tolerance stack-ups to determine proper GD&T callouts on drawings.
- Check whether existing subsystems and components can be reused.
- Ensure double-sided traceability with the mechanical architecture and provide work results under a configuration management (material designation, versioning, storage location, etc.).
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred, but other engineering degrees or equivalent technical experience will be considered.
- Expertise in CAD modeling (PTC Creo preferred)
- Significant experience with engineering drawing creation and GD&T
- Automotive knowledge or background preferred
- Experience in Chassis technologies, either steering, brake or suspension
