Your Key Responsibilities
- Conducts mechanical design engineering activities required to develop competitive products.
- Develop the structure of the mechanical system from the architecture and consider the measures from the risk analysis in the construction.
- Break down structures into subsystems and components and create a detailed product specification.
- Ensure double-sided traceability with the mechanical architecture and provide work results under a configuration management (material designation, versioning, storage location, etc.).
- Create and/or support the creation of CAD models and BOM structures by interfacing with appropriate colleagues/departments.
- Lead design reviews with internal and external teams.
- Perform and assist others with the calculations and analysis necessary to ensure a design meets requirements (ie FEA, stack-ups, VA/VE, design for manufacturability, and selection of special characteristics, etc.).
- Lead DFMEA creation and evaluation of risk assessments for production parts that deviate from the specification.
- Assist processing of plant requests (informal or ECM) on running products by ensuring and maintaining products’ quality and performance integrity.
- Define test procedures, validate test rig and tool designs, order and arrange testing all in conjunction with test lab(s).
- Generate and develop new, advanced, and patentable technological ideas to ensure growth of marketable, profitable products.
- Lead technical interactions with customers and suppliers throughout the product development process.
- Conduct benchmark studies on our competitor’s products as well as our customer’s tender specifications.
Your Qualifications

<li _ngcontent-ng-c2775544517="">Bachelor's degree in an engineering related field and 5 years of experience OR Master's degree in an engineering related field and 2 years of experience
<li _ngcontent-ng-c2775544517="">Background in robotics or humanoid robotics
<li _ngcontent-ng-c2775544517="">Strong experience in using CAD modeling software to generate component and assembly level models
<li _ngcontent-ng-c2775544517="">Thorough understanding and ability to interpret FEA results
<li _ngcontent-ng-c2775544517="">Strong understanding of GD&T
<li _ngcontent-ng-c2775544517="">Thorough understanding of vehicle chassis architectures and components
<li _ngcontent-ng-c2775544517="">Strong communication ability (written and verbal)
<li _ngcontent-ng-c2775544517="">Demonstrate ability to work independently and use creative problem-solving techniques to resolve issues
<li _ngcontent-ng-c2775544517="">Thorough understanding and experience with multiple manufacturing processes
<li _ngcontent-ng-c2775544517="">Understanding of modeling and simulating of electric or mechatronic systems
<li _ngcontent-ng-c2775544517="">Experience in risk analysis and DFMEA across multiple projects
<li _ngcontent-ng-c2775544517="">Must have valid authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship now or in the future
