Overview
Global Position Name: System Project Mgmt. Eng.
As Project Lead, you will own the successful delivery of complex Humanoid robotics projects by leading both technical and project management aspects. You will ensure projects are executed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards, while coordinating cross-functional teams, managing risks, and maintaining clear communication with stakeholders including customers and steering committees.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the entire project lifecycle, including requirements management, change requests, effort estimation, scheduling, and resource planning.
- Drive the technical delivery of the project by planning, monitoring, and controlling development activities in accordance with processes and standards.
- Lead and guide development teams in technical tasks such as planning, task assignment, and issue escalation if problems cannot be resolved within the team.
- Approve subsystem technical solutions and manage project releases and deliverables to ensure successful product launches.
- Serve as the primary communication interface for all stakeholders, including project teams, customers, other disciplines, steering committees, ensuring transparency and timely information flow.
- Define overall project strategy and planning aligned with scope, timing, resources, quality reviews, and risk mitigation.
- Manage scope by breaking down work packages, ensuring conformity to standards and platforms, evaluating and approving change requests based on impact to schedule, cost, and quality.
- Ensure quality management by controlling work product quality, overseeing reviews, releases, and compliance with regulatory and internal processes.
- Identify, record, evaluate, and track risks and problems while applying configuration and change management principles.
- Assign work packages and steer the technical project team, making decisive calls on project changes and release approvals.
- Collaborate with line organization to secure required headcount and budget aligned with project footprint.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent technical field.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in automotive, industrial robotics, or a comparable industry with customer interactions.
- Proven track record of at least one full project lifecycle experience from acquisition through production launch as a project team member.
- Strong knowledge of EE product development process and Vitesco-related standards, regulations, and methodologies.
- Demonstrable functional leadership experience in project or technical teams is highly preferred.
- Excellent skills in stakeholder management, project management tools and methods, change and risk management, and quality assurance.
- Advanced communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities enabling effective cross-discipline and multicultural collaboration in international teams.
- Fluent in local language and English, capable of managing communication across diverse stakeholders and global teams.
