Your Key Responsibilities

Developing Sustainability Regulations/Standard Framework:

  • Scanning sustainability regulations and reporting standards, observing the developments and potential impacts to the region.
  • Contributing to the development of sustainable policies/guidelines, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards, and advocating for sustainable practices within the company's regional activities.

Strategic Sustainability Planning: 

  • Supporting the group sustainability target by integrating sustainability principles into regional operations and decision-making processes.
  • Devising and implementing sustainability initiatives customized to the unique characteristics, challenges, and resources of the region and locations (e.g., region/location carbon emission/intensity policies, nation green factory / zero-carbon factory certification).

Renewable Energy Transition:

  • Conducting thorough assessments to identify viable renewable energy solutions within the region, strategizing their implementation.
  • Planning, execution, and oversight of renewable energy projects within regional operations, ensuring alignment with technical, financial, and regulatory standards.

Mind-setting and Collaboration:

  • Raising awareness among stakeholders, employees, and leadership about the importance of sustainability and how their actions contribute to the organization's broader sustainability and economic goals.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders including government bodies, industry partners, community groups to foster partnerships that accelerate the adoption of sustainability technologies.

Monitoring and Reporting:

  • Establishing metrics, tracking sustainability performance indicators, and generating reports to measure progress, ensuring transparency and accountability in regional sustainability efforts.

Innovation and Best Practices:

  • Exploring innovative technologies, adopting best practices, and researching new sustainable solutions to continuously improve regional sustainability performance.
     

Your Qualifications

Bachelor and above in a relevant field (e.g., Environmental Science, Sustainability, Electrical / Renewable Energy Engineering).
Demonstrated experience in applying sustainability principles to regional contexts, understanding environmental impacts, and knowledge of sustainable development frameworks.
Several years of experience in international project management.
Fluent written and spoken Chinese and English skills.
Analytical Skills: Proficiency in conducting assessments, analyzing data, and translating findings into actionable sustainability strategies tailored to regional needs.
Policy and Regulatory Understanding: Familiarity with local, national, and international sustainability policies, along with the ability to navigate regulatory frameworks and advocate for effective policies.
Stakeholder Engagement: Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills to engage diverse stakeholders, foster partnerships, and empower communities to participate in sustainability initiatives.
Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
