Your Key Responsibilities
The role and duties of the PL are multi-faceted. Supervisor to Team Leaders is the most critical role of the PL and drives many of the other duties of the PL. These duties support the Team Leaders ability to execute at a high level. Examples of these duties are: EHS Advocate; Production Planning; Staffing, SFM & KPI’s; MOVE & CIP; Engineering/Technical Support; Financial Controls - Budget & PCR; Audits: PM, Safety, Training & Qualification, etc.
The objective of the PL position is to lead those employees directly reporting to them as well as dotted line in the production area(s) under their responsibility and manage the boundaries of these areas. Boundary management is critical in ensuring their work areas are provided the necessary resources, materials, information and services from support areas. This in turn enables the work area(s) to operate efficiently, and effectively thus improving safety productivity, quality, costs and customer satisfaction. Standardization is ensured in a consistent and sustainable manner.
Your Qualifications
- Technical degree preferred or comparable work experience preferably within Schaeffler
- Minimum of three years relevant experience as a Supervisor/Team Lead preferably within Schaeffler
- Demonstrated leadership skills and business acumen
- Broad manufacturing experience, preferably acquired within Schaeffler
- Good knowledge of production processes, measurement & inspection procedures, production planning and control, budget process, MS-Office and SAP
- Ability to manage and lead team leaders and other direct reports
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
- Experience and knowledgeable of Safety and Health systems
