Your Key Responsibilities

  • High attention to detail with respect to health and safety, personal behaviour and chemistry in plating room.
  • Operation of ovens
  • Building load in accordance to load plan
  • General housekeeping as it pertains to safety of personnel in the plating room.
  • Racking and unracking parts to be plated on the automatic line
  • Timely transitioning parts from the plating line to the hydrogen embrittlement ovens for heat treatment
  • Visual assessment of plated/stripped surface to ensure completion of operation
  • Assist technician with tasks related to the ventilation, laboratory or water treatment systems
  • Daily/Weekly TPM for equipment and chemical systems.
  • Perform basic problem solving and troubleshoot to resolve production/process issues to meet required standards.  
  • Responsible for quality  and quantity of work produced by process. Monitor production process according to maintenance schedule and perform routine maintenance in timely manner. 
  • Follow and accurately record data as directed or required in routers, IMS and any other production tracking systems.  
  • Required to train other operators as needed.  
  • May be required to work in other departments or occasionally to set up a process for others  to operate. 
  • Requires adequate computer skills to access production procedures to perform the required work. 
  • Responsible for excellent housekeeping and maintaining 5S in all areas.
  • Meet the skill requirements identified in the applicable training matrix and maintain certification through company Certified Operator Program.

Your Qualifications

  • Education:  Grade 12 diploma
  • Experience:  Mechanical aptitude
