Your Key Responsibilities

  • Drive technical improvement activities as prioritized by Production Management (scrap, efficiency, utilization, quality, cost, cycle time)
  • Actively participate in capital expansion projects (launches)
  • Responsible for shift-to-shift communication and knowledge transfer regarding priority items, down time etc.
  • Facilitates use of Production System tools by the team including conducting layered audits to verify employees are following work procedures.
  • Participate in process troubleshooting & support small step improvements related to quality, cost, logistics and motivation
  • Reduce direct expenses by standardizing and optimizing abrasives and consumable tooling
  • Participate in the development and optimization of machine parameters
  • During implementation of new projects, provide necessary information to Technical Improvement, Quality and Production departments to update relevant documentation (TPM, CP, OIC etc)
  • Support efforts related to workshops (5S, Setup, TPM), CIP, product quality, scrap reduction and productivity
  • Support different departments of the organization to gain practical experience in the course of an academic education.

Your Qualifications

  • Current student in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Systems, or Mechatronics Engineering program
  • Available for an 8 - 16 month internship/co-op through your educational instutition
