  • Competitive wages - starting rate: $27.87; top rate $31.98 per hour + shift premiums (wage is assigned based on skill and ability and position);

Your Key Responsibilities

Work under direct supervision of immediate Leader and routine operational guidance of others.  Follow standard work instructions and work specifications. Collect, record, document and enter all  data into process database as required. Set up, calibrate and maintain all tools, equipment, systems, processes and machines which are used to perform worked. When necessary operational/technical questions to be confirm with Leader or designate. A high degree of interaction  and teamwork is required.   

The incumbent will conduct her/ himself in a manner that promotes and supports company policies, guidelines and mission statements with respect to the following:   

  • Communicate effectively with all employees, at all levels of the organization to ensure that each employee’s need for accurate, timely information is satisfied 
  • Comply with safe work practices as defined by the provincial Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations 
  • Report all unsafe working conditions 
  • Review any safety issues in the area of operations 
  • Report all first aid incidents 
  • Responsible for ensuring personal adherence to the Environmental Management System guidelines as set forth by the Schaeffler Group.  This includes legal compliance, minimizing  environmental impact, pursuing preventative measures and continuous improvement 
  • Comply with work standards as defined by company guidelines 
  • Identify opportunities for quality improvements related to all accessible work areas 
  • Report all quality incidents 
  • Support productivity improvements within the assigned areas by participating in cross-functional teams 
  • Provide an atmosphere conducive to teamwork and involvement 
  • Detect opportunities to increase productivity 
  • Lead or support standardization efforts to enhance consistency and efficiency within all company processes 
  • Follow 5S standards and keep work areas organized 
  • Take part in continuous improvement workshops and suggestion programs 

Your Qualifications

Education:  Grade 12 diploma 

Experience:  Related turning experience or mechanical aptitude
