Your Key Responsibilities

Schaeffler, a global automotive and industrial supplier, is seeking Group Engineers for our Aerospace manufacturing facility in Stratford, Ontario. This is a two-year leadership development program comprised of four six-month rotations that provide cross-departmental exposure. Each rotation can be located at any of our facilities throughout the North American Region (USA, Mexico and Canada), including the possibility for other international rotations. The first rotation will start in Stratford, Ontario. Upon graduation of the program, a permanent position with Schaeffler is guaranteed.

In this program, our Group Engineers...

  • Partner with a mentor who is a seasoned professional engineering manager to develop best practices and evolve into a leader at Schaeffler
  • Gain knowledge alongside experts in areas such as production management, quality, supply chain, purchasing, and plant management
  • Are trained based on the 70:20:10 model which emphasis a mixture of hands on experience, mentoring, and formal training
  • Are given training and tools to develop leadership skills
  • Present their rotation accomplishments at the end of each rotation in front of the Executive Board, senior management, mentors and supervisors
  • Receive company housing for the duration of the program (two years) and a competitive salary and benefits
  • Become equipped for your guaranteed Production Leader position upon graduation

Your Qualifications

For this high-potential development program, we are looking for candidates who are ambitious, creative, enthusiastic, and passionate about leadership and their professional growth.

Qualified candidates will have...

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering
  • 3.0 minimum GPA
  • At least 8 months of co-ops or internships
  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment preferred
  • Experience in leadership preferred
  • Thorough understanding of engineering principals
  • Excellent Organization and Communication skills
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills
  • Willingness to relocate every 6 months (Needs to meet requirements for L1 Visa for USA upon hire)
  • Willingness to relocate to any of our production locations within North America upon completion of the 2-year training program.
  • Previous work experience in Manufacturing environment preferred
