Your Key Responsibilities

• Shape the visual direction and UI design approach for Schaeffler’s eCommerce platform “medias”, ensuring a modern, consistent, and user-centered experience.
• Create and refine high-quality UI designs, screen layouts, interaction patterns, and component specifications for digital interfaces across the platform.
• Translate UX concepts, user needs, and business requirements into clear, effective, and visually compelling interface designs.
• Use modern AI-supported design tools, such as Figma AI, Github Copilot and similar generative technologies, to accelerate ideation, iteration, and high-fidelity prototyping.
• Contribute to reusable design patterns, component-based design, and overall UI consistency across the platform.
• Prepare developer-ready assets, annotations, and design documentation in Figma or similar tools to enable efficient handover and implementation.
• Collaborate closely with frontend developers to ensure design feasibility and high-quality implementation.
• Ensure accessibility, responsiveness, and usability are considered throughout the interface design process.
• Work closely with UX researchers, product managers, developers, and business stakeholders to turn complex requirements into intuitive and scalable design solutions.
• Contribute to the evolution of the design system and support reusable component thinking for the future frontend and CMS landscape.

Your Qualifications

• Degree in UI Design, Interaction Design, Digital Design, Media Informatics, or a comparable field.
• 5+ years of experience in UI design for web platforms, eCommerce solutions, or other digital products.
• Strong visual design skills with a keen eye for detail, including layout, typography, spacing, and interaction quality.
• Good sense for micro-interactions, transitions, and motion design that enhance usability and guide user behavior.
• Strong hands-on experience with Figma and modern UI design workflows.
• Interest in emerging AI-supported design tools and a proactive mindset in using them to improve design efficiency and quality.
• Good understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and usability principles.
• Experience working with design systems and reusable, component-based design approaches.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with frontend developers, product managers, and business stakeholders.
• Foundational understanding of frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to support effective collaboration with engineering and ensure technical feasibility
• Experience in eCommerce, enterprise platforms, or other complex digital ecosystems is highly desirable.
• Strong written and spoken English communication skills.
