Your Key Responsibilities
• Creation, validation, and further optimization of electric motor simulation models for optimizing electric drive systems in terms of performance, efficiency and durability
• Analysis of the thermal, dynamic, and mechanical behavior of electric motors to ensure a competitive product design in alignment with interdisciplinary stakeholders
• Documentation, reporting, and presentation of the simulation results to internal and external stakeholders
• Further development of the simulation toolchain and standardization of methods as well as their documentation to optimize the quality and efficiency of the development process
Your Qualifications
• Academic background in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or similar
• Relevant experience of 3+ years in the field of simulation, design, and calculation of electric motors and thermal behavior
• Understanding of the thermal context of electric drive systems consisting of battery, power electronics, electric traction motor, and gearbox
• In-depth experience in the use of simulation tools such as MotorCAD, MATLAB/Simulink (incl. Simscape), and the Ansys toolchain (e.g. Maxwell, Multiphysics, OptiSLang)
• Programming knowledge in Python is a plus
• Ability to grasp complex systems and to systematically consider physical relations
• Solution orientated communication with interdisciplinary stakeholders
• Structured, precise and analytical way of working
• Sense of responsibility and ownership of assigned features
• Fluent in English
