Your Key Responsibilities
ROLE GOAL
Drive profitable growth of the Smart Maintenance Tools (SMT) portfolio in India by aggressively hunting new business, expanding existing accounts, and closing high‑value solution sales through direct and channel routes.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Achieve SMT sales targets across assigned industries and customers
• Generate new business through cold calling, prospecting, and frequent customer visits
• Develop and grow existing customers to higher revenue levels
• Own end‑to‑end sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure
• Execute sales campaigns and strategic growth initiatives
• Build and manage channel, service, and sales partners
• Drive value‑based and solution‑selling mindset within sales teams
• Support shift from hardware‑only sales to services and digital solutions
• Act as product, application, and sales expert for SMT portfolio
• Conduct product demonstrations and on‑site customer support
• Maintain robust sales pipeline, forecasting, and opportunity management
MARKET & COLLABORATION
• Identify customer needs, market trends, and competitive activity
• Feed market insights into sales and portfolio strategy
• Work closely with internal sales, sector, and cross‑functional teams
• Support local marketing and key customer initiatives
Your Qualifications
MANDATORY EXPERIENCE & PROFILE
• 7–10 years of sales or business development experience in Mechanical Maintenance Tools
• Strong proven HUNTING and DEAL‑CLOSING track record
• Experience in Cement, Steel, Paper/Pulp, Mining, or similar heavy industries
• Existing customer relationships in target industries preferred
• Strong understanding of industrial maintenance practices and assets
• Ability to independently manage and close complex sales opportunities
• Hands‑on capability to demonstrate SMT products at customer sites
