Application Development Engineer - Needle Bearings

Goal of the Position

To perform the Application Engineering and Project management tasks for Chassis application and BU-needle bearings product.

To support the business growth of BU - Needle Bearings

Your Key Responsibilities

Job Role:

• Perform Engineering analysis using proven Schaeffler tools like Bearing X, Pro/E or any other CAD package 
• Develop strong business relationship with Tier1s/ OEM customers by providing excellent and timely technical support on Chassis and Accessory drives products e.g., Needle roller bearing and special bearings , frequent visits to customers 
• Develop business relationship and cooperation with global counter parts 
• Support benchmarking, RPA and market studies for needle roller bearings 
• Drive flawless and on time launch of projects by close coordination of customer’s testing, development, other project activities by timely managing project risks 
• Project management as per Schaeffler’s PEP / project management methodologies using appropriate tools and close coordination with all the organization functions 
• Drive VA/VE s to meet customer cost expectation or to improve product efficiency 
• Lead /support BU-Needle bearings Engineering department initiative like Audits preparations etc 
• Support and develop new team members by providing necessary support and trainings 
• Should be able to do basic engineering calculation without software support 

Your Qualifications

• Mechanical / Production Engineering Graduate, with 4-7 years of experience
• Knowledge on Bearing, automotive Chassis and Accessory Drives applications (Steering systems, suspension, Starter Motors, Throttle body, AC Compressors, Actuators etc.) Project Management, New product development
• Experience in Bearing x / Romax 
• Excellent communication skill, Customer interaction, customer visit / travelling, resource management  
• Experience with SAP, Microsoft office, Windchill, Pro E 
• Should be comfortable with travelling as per the requirements.
