Goal of position
- Searching for, developing, and qualifying suppliers as needed
- Implementing and coordinating measures to improve quality, delivery performance and for reducing production costs (TCO)
- Integrating suppliers into the SMB production system according to the targeted integration level
- Evaluating supplier performance
- Implementing process improvement measures
Educational Prerequisites
- Degree in technical studies at a university or technical college (mechanical engineering / electrical engineering)
- Completed further training as a master craftsman or technician with relevant professional experience in the technical area plus basic commercial knowledge
- Comparable technical training with multiple years of relevant professional experience in the technical area and basic commercial knowledge
- Business fluent English skills at least B2.C3

- Microsoft office
- Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing Knoledge
- Knowledge heat treatment process
- Knowledge machining process
Responsibilities
- Searching for and assessing suppliers for manufacturing of drawing parts and assemblies, along with services and/or standard parts and components
- Developing and qualifying suppliers for the continuous improvement of delivery performance (Q/C/L) and for achieving the targeted degree of integration
- Monitoring measures until they have been successfully completed, incl. checking their effectiveness
- Assisting with establishing the packaging concept and implementing with suppliers
- Defining optimum delivery units, frequencies, and times in collaboration with Logistics, Master Planning, and Purchasing
- Supporting the suppliers with questions related to technology, quality, and logistics
- Staying in close contact with Purchasing and Logistics and with Supplier Management at other SMB locations
