SPS Specialist

Goal of Position

SPS Specialist is responsible for identifying, analyzing and implementing improvement initiatives that optimize our processes and increase operational efficiency, using methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma. Playing a key role in promoting a culture of continuous improvement in the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or other related field of study preferred.
• 2+ years of related experience.
• Experience on the automotive industry preferably.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail, precision, and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, communicating effectively with engineers and colleagues.
• Strong knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (Lean & Six Sigma).
• Fluently English.

Responsibilities

Continuous Improvement Projects

• Evaluate and analyze existing processes in the organization to identify potential areas for improvement.
• Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste and increase production capacity applying methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and Kaizen.
• Work in conjunction with other departments to ensure that improvements are sustainable and aligned with business unit objectives.
• Provide training and coaching to staff on continuous improvement tools and techniques.
• Promote a continuous improvement mentality throughout the organization, encouraging the active participation of employees.

Process Documentation

• Develop and update documentation of processes, procedures and operating standards.
• Ensure that documentation complies with regulations and quality requirements established by the organization.
• Prepare reports and presentations for senior management, showing the results of initiatives and their impact on the organization.
• Prepare the necessary documentation for internal or external audits, ensuring that processes are clearly documented and auditable.

Schaeffler Production System

• Development and follow-up of SPS continuous improvement tools implemented at Puebla and Huejotzingo plants.
• Build an organizational culture focused on continuous improvement, where innovation and change are an integral part of the daily dynamics.
