R&D eMobility - Senior Testing Engineer

Your Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the automotive industry (Validation & Verification, or Testing Engineering desirable)
• Advanced English, German desirable.
• Advanced Programming skills.
• Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Assertive communication skills (both verbal and written), costumer service.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Relevant certifications in testing methodologies or electric mobility (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO certifications) are a plus.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and scenarios to ensure performance, reliability, and safety.
• Conduct all testing related activities for e-mobility products and contained system, mechanical, electrics/electronics or software elements as assigned.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of a suitable verification and validation strategy at the defined integration levels based on given standards.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of verification and validation activities in accordance with given standards (incl. testing of virtual or physical objects, static analyses, simulation).
• Contribute to the exchange of development-related information and collaboration with internal/external development partners (e.g. systems, electrics/electronics, or software development), providers of equipment and tools (e.g. test rigs, test environment for model-in-the-loop, software-in-the-loop, processor-in-the-loop, hardware-in-the-loop tests), or customers.
• Ensure safety procedures including HV safety are followed.
• Analyze test data and generate comprehensive reports outlining findings, insights, and recommendations.
• Responsible for test part commissioning, as well as new test stands commissioning.
• Responsible for testing automation.
• Collaborate with external partners (e.g., suppliers, testing labs) to conduct specialized testing as needed.
• Contribute to the optimization of testing procedures and methodologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Lead discussions with customers on determining how to properly test their part (setup, communication, control) using Schaeffler test equipment.
• Use data analysis tools to identify trends and potential areas for improvement.
• Work closely with design, engineering, and production teams to provide feedback on product performance and facilitate necessary adjustments.
