Goal Of Position
Support with structural and numeric calculations for torque converter based on customer requirements, perform FEA calculations of mechanical performance of torque converter products.
Educational Prerequisites
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic, or Automotive Engineering.
- Master or PhD. degree in FEA field (numeric field: Finite Element Analysis, CFD, or experimental field) or related.
- Advanced English - TOEFL min. Score of ITP 585 / iBT 84, CEFR level B2-C1 (or equivalent).
Technical Prerequisites
- Experience in simulation tools such as ANSYS, Fluent, Abaqus, Simufact, Hypermesh, MATLAB Simulink, COMSOL Multiphysics.
- Experience in Structural calculations by FEA and CFD.
- Knowledge of Automotive product design/evaluation.
- Knowledge of the Product Development Process.
- Applicable engineering & physics knowledge.
- Understanding of basic heat transfer and fluid mechanics.
- Understanding of solid mechanics and their application to torque converter, turbomachinery, or related machines.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate the structural viability, function and performance of TC and TCC products by analytic and numeric calculations based on customer requirements.
- Maintain clear communication with internal customers to advise on design decisions.
- Prepares suggestions and decision-making papers for RD management to initiate methodological changes.
- Actively participate on internal cross functional teams to consider all aspects impacting design durability.
- Constantly monitors the further development of the area of expertise to keep up-to-date (e.g. Publications, trainings, knowledge exchange through industry associations and RD partners).
- Applies deep expertise in an engineering methodology in RD operations and other projects.
