Your Key Responsibilities
- The specialist will be responsible for handling and scheduling transportation services by using SAP, and TMS,
- Prepare and monitor load plans that direct the timely, efficient pickup and return of customer product to company warehouses.
- Analyze data, design and build reports and present findings to ensure the effective and efficient use of transportation resources (carriers, equipment, modes, etc). Reports, addendums and accessorial will be developed and implemented through existing tools (Smart Source, Excel, Access, etc).
- Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly reporting to calculate, track, and assess key transportation metrics such as on time pickup and delivery performance, by customer and carrier, to drive improvement.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in transportation management, logistics, project management, or similar preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years experience as a transportation specialist in a related industry.
- Able to read, interpret, prepare, and report product shipment information from various order and shipping documents to ensure accuracy and through preparation of transportation documents.
- Proficiency in transportation management software.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Great communication and collaboration skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
