IT Project Manager | Group IT Project Excellence Hub

Your Key Responsibilities

As an IT Project Manager within Schaeffler’s Group IT – Business Enablement – Project Excellence Hub team, you take full responsibility for delivering complex, business-critical projects within Schaeffler’s IT landscape. You combine strong execution skills with strategic thinking — aligning technology, business needs, and organizational goals. You act as a trusted partner for management and stakeholders, ensuring that every project contributes measurable value to our digital transformation.

• Lead IT and business projects end-to-end — from concept and planning to successful delivery and closure
• Align project goals with business strategies, ensuring measurable impact and long-term value
• Coordinate and guide cross-functional project teams, including external partners or sub-project managers
• Manage project scope, timing, budget, and quality, ensuring transparency and governance compliance
• Anticipate and mitigate risks early, ensuring consistent delivery performance
• Collaborate closely with business and IT leadership to shape priorities and enable informed decision-making
• Apply project management methods (Agile, Hybrid, Waterfall) to achieve delivery excellence
• Contribute to the ongoing evolution of project management practices within Group IT

Your Qualifications

• Excellent English Language Proficiency (both, speaking and writing); additional languages are a plus
• Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in IT project management, ideally in international and cross-functional contexts.
• Experience managing multiple small – medium – large size projects simultaneously
• Competent with managing projects related to:
  • SAP R/3 or S4/HANA experience required
  • Software / application development experience is beneficial
  • 3rd party software integration experience is beneficial
  • IT Infrastructure experience is beneficial
• High sense of ownership, structure, and accountability
• Strong understanding of project financials, governance, and organizational processes
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong focus on business partnering & relationships
• Confident communicator with excellent stakeholder management and analytical skills
• Experience working with Agile and traditional delivery frameworks
• Experience with Planview (IT Project Portfolio Management) is beneficial
• Experience with SAP-PS IT Project cost management is beneficial
• Competent with MS Office suite (Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
• University degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
• Certified PMP and/or ScrumMaster and/or PMO experience is preferred
