Your Key Responsibilities
- Analysing the costs associated with the development of mechatronic systems
- Analysing the cost structure using the "Should Cost" method
- Assessing technical specifications and identifying cost saving potentials
- Optimization towards reduction of capital or investment costs
- Proposing appropriate technical solutions and recommendations with respect to cost
- Communicating costs associated with procurement and collaboration with third parties
- Regular reporting on cost reduction activities
Your Qualifications
- University degree II in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, electrical engineering, electronics or other related technical field
- English language at a communicative level (written and verbal)
- German language preferably
- Experience in the development or production of mechatronic equipment in the automotive sector min. 2 years
- Knowledge of markets and supply chains in the automotive sector
- Knowledge of: chipping, precision machining, heat and surface treatment, forging and high pressure die casting technology, electrical and thermal dimensioning, electrical design, electromagnetic compatibility, semiconductors, ISO26262 is desirable
- Experience in a similar position an advantage
- Good analytical skills
- Ability to interpret results and propose appropriate solutions
