Shipping Clerk

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Verify and maintain records on outbound shipments.  Release delivery notes, pick tickets, and bills of lading for shipments.
  • Maintain customer daily shipments, and open order files.  Maintain accurate filing records
  • Handle all export papers.  Process delivery notes, bill of lading, and other pertinent information required by customer for shipping
  • Provide shipping quotes as requested.  Perform cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory
  • Obtain proof of delivery when required by customer service.  Process recalls for quality, including using the COSP platform
  • Liaison between manufacturing plant and 3PL.  Create bar codes for required shipments.  Schedule freight with carriers for pick up
  • Handle issues arising in shipping or inventory handling.  Trouble shoots shipping issues and customer complaints that arise and work to solve them.  Back up for Warehouse Component Scheduling Clerk and Receiving Clerk

Your Qualifications

Required: 

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent 
  • External applicants must be authorized to work in the US without employment visa or other sponsorship

  • Excellent computer skills in Word and Excel
  • SAP knowledge plus
  • Prior shipping, import/export experience is a must
  • Inventory control experience is a must
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Preferred: 

  • Multiple years of experience in logistics, preferably in a manufacturing environment 
  • Experience working with IT & SAP systems 
  • ​​​​​​​Ability to operate transportation machinery
