Key Responsibilities

Responsible for maintaining accurate records relative to receiving, stocking and issue of materials to production.

  • Unpacks, verifies and maintains records on incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with shipper to rectify damages and shortages.  Assist with sorting and locating incoming materials in proper location.
  • Perform daily postings of receipts and issues in the SAP system.
  • Interact with Purchasing and Accounting concerning receipts and issues.
  • Process requests from production areas and delivers to the appropriate area, utilizing tier lift truck or hand truck to move, convey, or hoist shipments from shipping and receiving platform to storage or work area.
  • Assembles containers, packages item, selects shipping method, and ensures packages are properly marked on exterior, and labels for shipment.
  • Maintains inventory of shipping materials and supplies.  Cycle counts inventory. Verify MSDS sheets on file for all required materials.

 

Your Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associates degree or equivalent or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Prior experience in receiving incoming goods. 
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Prior lift truck experience.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

 

 

Preferred qualifications

  • SAP skills in receiving and warehouse functions.
  • Knowledge of UPS and Fed Ex procedures.
