Analyse customer needs and provide technical solutions. Develop and present proposals to clients. Collaborate with sales and engineering teams to achieve sales targets.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Carry out all sales activities to achieve defined commercial objectives for market segments including Offroad, Power Transmission, Railway and Raw Materials
- Contribute to the budget planning process and plan own revenues and customer prospects for each segment
- Use your Schaeffler product knowledge to consult clients on industrial applications and solutions
- Analyze market trends and report on technologies, customers, and competitors
- Develop and maintain a network with (potential) clients, partners, universities, associations and other institutions
- Prepare, conduct, and close negotiations on product, quantities, and pricing
- Align with cross-functional teams to prepare, present and deliver proposals based on customer requirements
Your Qualifications
- Field sales experience of at least 5 years preferably with OEMs in industrial sectors (Offroad, Power Transmission, Railway, Raw Materials desirable)
- Degree or equivalent in engineering or a related field preferably Mechanical Eng.
- Good knowledge of mechanical equipment and manufacturing processes, especially rotating machinery
- Knowledge of bearings and associated components
- Proven record of success within the entire sales cycle, from planning to closing
- Willingness to travel frequently within South and Southern Africa (up to 60%)
- Knowledge of SAP and Salesforce is preferrable
- Experience in channel selection and management
- Effective collaboration in a matrix environment
- Communicative, independent, team player, open to work in multicultural environment, result oriented, actively seeking new opportunities and challenges
