For plant activities, In accordance with the laboratory manual and based on the applicable Schaeffler standards: 1.) Analysis of materials such as material in receipt, production and transformation or manufacturing process: 2.) Organize and carry out the analysis of materials and purchased parts. Write reports and review those prepared by the Metallurgical Lab support staff. 3.) Organize and implement material monitoring to the heat treatment production process. Develop inspection control plans according to Schaeffler standards for all products. 4.) Prepare special analyzes and coordinate evaluations in specialized laboratories and/or with different scopes. 5.) Provide support to other departments of the company with issues related to heat treatment and metallurgical topics. Participate in materials meetings or conferences as well as address quality issues related to heat treatment and plant materials. 6.) Prepare and train metallurgical laboratory personnel and production personnel on quality issues in heat treatment. 7.) Participate in internal, external and client audits. 8.) Participate in the preparation of the FMEA as part of the key team. Carry out heat treatment control plans and coordinate corrective actions using 3x5 why, 8D's, PDCA, etc. techniques. 9.) Directly support and guide the heat treatment production leader and team about metallurgical results, quality problems in the process and/or product as well as ensure corrective actions and their effectiveness. 10.) Participate in the key team for decision making on out-of-specification parts, process and/or product deviations as well as definitions of rework in heat treatment. 11.) Participate as a consultant and support auditor in CQI-9 audits. Chemical lab 1.) This person will be responsible for organizing, coordinating and supervising laboratory activities. 2.) Will follow up on corrective actions, 8D's, 3x5 whys, FMEA. 3.) Will participate in Quality audits, LPA's, process audits, White paper audits. 4.) You will participate in Work shops, conferences and training for updates, product transfers or new requirements.

Sus aptitudes

Metallurgical Engineer, Materials Engineer or similar. 5 years of minimum experience in laboratory and functions related to the evaluation of materials, heat treatment and quality systems. Technical knowledge ISO/TS16949 quality system, computer skills (Microsoft Office) and knowledge of current quality specifications, attention to specific customer requirements. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, specifically thermal and thermochemical treatments. Skill in process analysis and solution to production problems related to heat treatment. Languages: Spanish mother tongue, English 90% spoken, written and read; German desirable.
