Your Key Responsibilities

The Specialist / Engineer – Quality Systems ensures that our processes, and systems are in compliance with customer and Schaeffler requirements and standards. They are responsible for coordinating efforts in regard to the Schaeffler Quality Operating System and AutomotiveSPICE® process assessment model (PAM) 3.1.

• Ensures all quality/process documentation and controls comply with IATF 16949 requirement. 
• Be the liaison with component and material suppliers for coordination of PPAPs, compliance with IATF 16949 and to address quality concerns. 
• Ensure the quality operating system is robust and protects Schaeffler from shipping non-conforming material to the customer, key team member in carrying out department specific goals, and work on multi discipline teams to ensure the cost of quality goals are realized. This will be achieved by working with the various departments within the manufacturing environment and engineering departments.
• Ensure internal processes are adhered to within the project through conducting audits and communicating status to management

Lead A-SPICE SUP.1 Quality Assurance and/or SUP.9 Concern Management

Your Qualifications

• Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent.
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work independently
• Strong project management skills preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Analytical thinking skills
• Goal and results oriented
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills
• Knowledge of AIAG manuals (PPAP, APQP, QSA, Measurement System Analysis (MSA), Statistical Process control (SPC), FMEA) and related industry standards preferred
• Familiar with IATF 16949 and/or ISO 9001
