IT Project Manager Intern - Group IT Project Excellence Hub

Your Key Responsibilities

Goal of position (What is the primary function of the position?)

• Within our global Group IT Business Enablement (BE) product line, you’ll be supporting primarily the Project Excellence Hub (PEH) team and as needed the Business Engagement & Account Management (BEAM) team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Your PEH team responsibility may include partial and/or full IT Project Management responsibilities (from IT solutioning/scheduling/cost estimation/approval processes/etc. all the way to implementation management and project closing) for small and medium size projects leading the projects with other Group IT team members and/or vendors on behalf of IT Product Owners. This may include: 
  
  • Supporting project leaders in planning, coordinating, and monitoring ongoing initiatives across different business areas
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions & support timely delivery of project milestones
  • Proposing improvements to IT Project Management solutions for data processing, reporting, analysis, and workflow optimization
  • Enhancing existing Portfolio and Project Management Power BI dashboards to provide actionable insights and support decision-making
  • Driving the ongoing improvements of the AI Schaeffler Chatbot by designing the data structures around IT Project Management knowledge
• As needed, your BEAM team responsibility may include supporting proactive IT partnering (with Product Lines and Edge IT) on IT project demands within the Americas as well as coordinating & following up on product line IT portfolios (Ideas + Demands + Project status/risk/closing processes).

Your Qualifications

• Professional working proficiency in English language (spoken and written) due to working in a global product line team
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong focus on partnering & relationships (BEAM IT partnering)
• IT Project Management basics
• Interest in managing IT projects (PEH) related to:
  • IT Infrastructure & Platforms (IP) product lines responsible for connectivity, infrastructure, IoT & cloud deployment; structured cabling & network topology is desirable knowledge
  • Employee IT (EI) product lines responsible for IT Client Hardware (Desktops, Laptops, Rugged tablets, Office printers, Label printers, Handhelds and Scanners, etc.)
  • SAP Core Solutions (SC), Enterprise Application Solutions (EA), Digital Science Solutions (DS) product lines (software solutions)
• Interested in learning IT Project Management in the context of a global Group IT organization
• Interested in learning Planview as an IT Project Portfolio Management tool
• Interested in learning SAP-PS IT Project cost management
• Technically competent with MS Office suite (Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc)
• University degree or college diploma (or in process)
