The basic requirement for a thesis at Schaeffler is proof of enrollment at the time of the thesis.
This position must be filled from now for a period of at least 6 months.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Conducting a literature review on the current state of the art in the field
- Preparation and running CFD calculations in a rolling bearing
- Analyzing, evaluating, and documenting the results
- Validating simulation data using experiment results or literature references in consultation with your advisor
- Conducting sensitivity and parameter studies to derive an optimal solution
Your Qualifications
- Studies in the field of mechanical engineering, physics or a related field of study
- Competent handling of MS-Office applications
- Advanced English and German skills
- Good knowledge in the field of fluid mechanics or physics, especially numerical flow simulation (CFD)
- Knowledge of machine elements desirable
- Programming experience, ideally Python
- Critical and creative thinking
- Strong communication and collaborative skills as well as organizational talent
