Professional Internal Audit Region Europe (d/f/m)

Your Key Responsibilities

• Provide independent and objective assurance and advisory services to enhance risk management, internal controls, and overall business performance

• Plan and execute risk-based audits in line with the annual audit plan, covering operational, financial, and IT processes

• Define audit scope, objectives, and timelines and develop structured audit programs in coordination with the Internal Audit Manager

• Analyze business processes and identify risks, control weaknesses, and improvement opportunities

• Perform detailed audit procedures, ensuring high-quality documentation, sufficient audit evidence, and complete working papers

• Prepare and deliver clear, concise audit reports and presentations for management, including practical and value-adding recommendations

• Actively engage with stakeholders to discuss findings, challenge processes constructively, and drive improvements

• Monitor and follow up on agreed actions to ensure timely and sustainable remediation of identified issues

• Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams to ensure consistency, share best practices, and enhance audit effectiveness

• Apply analytical thinking, data-driven approaches, and digital tools to improve audit quality and efficiency

Your Qualifications

• Graduate degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or Finance; MBA is a plus
• Several years of professional experience in external or internal auditing
• Strong understanding of audit methodologies, risk management practices, and regulatory compliance
• Solid knowledge of MS Office; SAP and/or data analytics experience is a plus
• Professional certification such as CIA, CPA, CFE and/or CISA is a plus
• Experience in a Big 4 or comparable firm is a plus
• Advanced level of English and German; additional language is a plus
• Availability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time
• Intercultural and international experience is a plus
