Based primarily in our Birmingham office, this exciting role offers the opportunity for frequent collaboration at our head office in Hereford and potential travel across the UK and internationally within the CEMEA region (Central Europe, Middle East, and Africa). Your Key Responsibilities
- Data Collection and Analysis: Gather, clean, and analyse complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform sales strategies and performance.
- Sales Performance Reporting: Develop and maintain regular sales performance reports for stakeholders, highlighting key metrics and actionable insights.
- Market Research: Conduct market analysis to understand competitive landscape, customer preferences, and emerging trends, providing recommendations to enhance sales efforts.
- Forecasting: Prepare accurate sales forecasts based on historical data, market conditions, and sales strategies, helping the team set realistic performance targets.
- Collaboration with Sales Teams: Work closely with sales teams to understand their challenges and needs, providing data-driven support to enhance their effectiveness.
- Dashboard Development: Create and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations that present sales data in an accessible and actionable format.
- Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) relevant to sales performance, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
- Ad-hoc Analysis: Conduct ad-hoc analyses as requested by management or sales teams, responding to urgent inquiries or deep dives into specific areas of interest.
- Data Integrity Management: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of sales data by implementing quality control measures and conducting regular data audits.
- Training and Support: Provide training and support to sales staff on data systems and reporting tools to enhance their ability to leverage data in their decision-making.
- Presentation of Findings: Effectively communicate analysis findings at various organisational levels, to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through presentations and reports.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within sales data analysis and reporting processes.
Your Qualifications
- Experience: 2-5 years in sales or data analysis.
- Licensing: Valid driver's license or passport for travel.
- Skills:
- Analytical: Strong analytical skills for complex data interpretation and actionable insights.
- Technical: Proficient in Excel, SQL, R/Python, and visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- Statistical: Understanding of statistical methods for analysis and forecasting.
- Commercial: Familiar with sales processes and market dynamics.
- Detail-Oriented: Ensures accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills for diverse audiences.
- Problem-Solving: Develops data-driven solutions for sales challenges.
- Project Management: Basic skills to manage tasks and projects.
- Collaboration: Works well with Sales, Customer Services, and Technical teams.
- Adaptability: Willing to learn new tools and practices
