The Automotive Aftermarket division is responsible for Schaeffler's global spare parts business. With innovative strength, technical expertise, and the highest product quality, Schaeffler Automotive Aftermarket is the trend-setting provider of repair solutions and services for internal combustion engines, hybrids, and electric vehicles and prepares the independent aftermarket for the technologies of tomorrow.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Designs vision, characteristics and requirements for the product(s) assigned, and leads the product development from the functional perspective. Ensures that the product meets the stakeholder demands and strives for value creating and the commercial success of the product.
- Design the functional as well as non-functional / regulatory product requirements in a way to maximize the product value.
- Prioritize the product backlog and ensure it is up-to-date and transparent for the team.
- Agree with the development team on the targets of the iteration in order to create shippable product increments and approve the results of an iteration for deployment.
- Agree with the stakeholder and the team on a mid-term release plan of the product.
- Agree with other Product Owners and purchasing on the sourcing of components.
Your Qualifications
- Successfully completed international studies in e.g. business administration, information technology, (software) engineering or comparable education
- Several years of international professional experience, preferably in an IT or management consultancy, technology company, data science agency or similar job
- Several years of experience in software development or implementation of digitization projects
- Experience in agile development processes, ideally as certified product owner
- Experience in requirements documentation and dependency identification as well as definition of Minimum Viable Products (MVPs)
- Experience from software development projects with both proprietary software and non-proprietary software
- Good knowledge in agile tools such as JIRA & confluence as well as MS Office
- Technical experience with analytics & data science solutions and processes as well as inter-net technologies & web applications
- Software development skills (e.g. object oriented programming) and agile Development Certification are beneficial
- Strong leadership and soft skills in combination with a high ability for abstraction
