Your Key Responsibilities
- Apply technical knowledge in simulation to enable design and concept developments, as well as validation and verification of product properties and to ensure state-of-the-art product quality.
- Perform technically very demanding simulations in the context of design and concept developments, as well as validation and verification tasks to support development and customer projects.
- Evaluate complex and in some cases unique computational problems using software tools e.g. FEA, MBS, MATLAB.
- Develop and standardize simulation methods including the development of criterions for release of technical products for usage in the worldwide simulation teams.
- Contribute to inventions, new designs, or techniques that are considered significant advances in the field.
- Apply deep expertise in simulation and constantly monitor the further development of the area of expertise to keep up-to-date (e.g. publications, trainings, knowledge exchange through industry associations and RandD partners).
Your Qualifications
Minimum:
- Undergraduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of 1 to 4 years of analytical engineering experience focused on mechanical systems and components
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with effective organizational abilities
- Solid engineering foundation with proven expertise in developing and applying analytical solutions to complex engineering challenges
- Demonstrated discipline and creativity in approaching technical assignments and project work
- Ability to independently solve complex engineering problems with minimal supervision
- At least 100 hours of formal training in Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) methods and tools, accumulated over 1 to 3 years of prior experience
- Basic programming proficiency in Python, C++, or other relevant programming languages
Preferred:
- Graduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering Field
- Rolling element bearing or similar simulation experience
