Engineer - Supplier Quality

Your Key Responsibilities
All responsibilities are applicable for traded goods as well as supplier product delivered to our industrial plant in Fort Mill.
- Carry out supplier quality activities of supplied products and supplier quality issues within the order fulfillment process.
- Manage advanced quality planning with suppliers during product development process, with specific consideration for cost efficiency and producibility.
- In series production, manage supplier process changes and initiate and coordinate corrective actions, to sustainably ensure zero defects
- Drive the sampling inspection process, and decide acceptance or rejection of samples provided.
- Coordinate series production claim management and act as escalation instance to agree on remedial action plans until successful completion.
- Train suppliers to ensure adherence to APQP (advanced product quality planning) and PPAP (production part approval process) requirements as agreed.
Your Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical field; candidates with 10+ years of relevant industry experience may also be considered in lieu of degree
- At least three years of professional experience in supplier management, quality assurance, or production
- Strong proficiency in English
- Open to traveling to supplier locations as required
- Possesses a self-assured and persuasive demeanor, with assertiveness, analytical thinking, a systematic approach, adaptability, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team while acting responsibly
- External candidates must have authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for an employment visa or sponsorship
