Your Key Responsibilities
- Oversee export control issues within the legal entity, serving as the Export Control Empowered Official.
- Analyze and monitor national and international export control regulations for relevance and applicability to the legal entity.
- Support the product and technology jurisdiction and classification process; apply for and maintain government export authorizations.
- Ensure compliance with export control laws and regulations, export authorizations and permits, and the legal entity’s export compliance program.
- Initiate and ensure the execution of assessment programs related to export control matters.
- Conduct training sessions and support the Regional Export Control Manager in daily activities and special projects.
Your Qualifications
Minimum:
- Post-secondary Degree
- Minimum 5 years of relevant export control experience
- Expertise in US Export Control Laws and Regulations and working knowledge of Canada and EU Export Control regulations
- Ability to assess and execute tasks relevant to Export Control
- Adequate technical acumen and experience with jurisdiction and classification analysis, and strong analytical and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- High degree of dependability and conscientiousness, with the ability to make appropriate fact-based decisions and assess risks
- Able to review and have a basic understanding of export control agreements, licenses / permits, and regulatory language
- Knowledge of and experience with SAP GTS Export Control tool or similar Export Control tools
- This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Preferred:
- Export Control experience in the aerospace industry
- Experience as an Empowered Official
