Your Key Responsibilities

  • Calibrate and maintain calibration of masters, indicators and various other gages.

  • Maintain calibration database and keep organized inventory of master gage room.

  • Create purchase orders for calibration services and organize sending equipment out for calibration.

  • Inspect and calibrate O.D. masters, width masters, airing gages and plugs, bore spindles and masters, preload masters, thread plugs, ball masters, and machine gages.

  • Maintain routine gage room records and print file in orderly manner.

  • Use various types  equipment such as the Federal Internal, External Comparator, the Starret Temp -  Check Thermometer, micrometers, optical flats, height gages (Clevelands & Swedish), gage blocks and Moore Air Gage.

  • Check and determine deflection factors on various size rings. Set up bore card for production and inspection use.

Your Qualifications

  • Excellent basic math skills (Addition / subtraction).
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Preferred technical high school or equivalent technical experience.
  • Preferred previous use of measurement tools (gage blocks, indicators, vernier calipers, micrometers, etc.)
